Bethel Children's Care safer recruitment policy and procedures will be the first step to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Bethel Children's Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people in its services. As an employer, we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The aims of our Safer Recruitment policy will ensure only those individuals suitable to work with vulnerable children and young people are employed.

We are committed to providing a safe environment where young people can develop and grow as individuals and reach their potential. Our interviews will always include relevant questions relating to child protection and / or safeguarding. The successful applicant will be required to undertake vetting checks including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Staff will undergo full induction and mandatory training which will be on going, this is to ensure that safer practices, professionalism and excellent quality care is provided.
